The reenactment at Knight's Ferry is one of the best events of the year. The battlefield consists of a large hillside bordered by rocky outcroppings and a river. On the other side is a covered bridge from the turn of the century, which crosses over the river. The Union and Confederate camps are separated by the river. An abandoned grist mill is the site of one camp, while the other camp is on a grassy area across the river. Both sites are easily accessible. Throughout the course of the event, living history and various scenarios take place, often focused around the bridge and surrounding area. Shade is widespread though temperatures in March are still fairly cool. This is an excellent event, and is also the first event the 114th Pennsylvania appeared at.
